Election day is Wednesday, October 24, 2018

I love Winnipeg. I’m humbled that parents I’ve worked with throughout neighbourhoods in Fort Rouge – East Fort Garry have asked me to run. The people of Fort Rouge – East Fort Garry
deserve a tested representative, someone who will work tirelessly to ensure we are growing
Winnipeg responsibly. My work will be focused on:

SAFER STREETS, SAFER COMMUNITIES

  • Support crime prevention and early intervention through addiction supports and a safe injection site to take crime off the streets
  • Build safer communities through drop-in centers and resources for at-risk community members
  • Take real action on road safety to build safer streets and push for a zero fatality traffic strategy
  • Enhance our parks and protect our green spaces, water, air, and our community with a green sustainability plan

SMART INVESTMENTS FOR A STRONGER ECONOMY

  • Invest in our roads, sidewalks, and back lanes, and work to build a comprehensive and connected cycling network
  • Improve the quality of city services and support a fair wage for city workers and contractors to support their families
  • Create good jobs in the film industry by making Winnipeg a ‘Film Friendly City’, while increasing funding for arts and cultural organizations
  • Invest in better transit service to improve reliability, frequency and rapid transit development so that transit is an option for all Winnipeggers

A BETTER WINNIPEG FOR EVERYONE

  • Oppose needless cuts to social services and support an increase in daycare spots and affordable housing
  • Reduce poverty by fighting for a citywide poverty reduction strategy so all Winnipeggers have a chance to get ahead
  • Build a more inclusive city by supporting Winnipeg’s Indigenous Accord and ensuring reconciliation
  • Work to extend municipal voting rights to permanent residents so that everyone who lives, works, and pays taxes in Winnipeg gets a say
